Ingredients:

  • 4-5 lbs of chicken (cut into pieces)
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 tbsp of paprika
  • 2 tbsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 2 cups of buttermilk
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and baking powder.
  2. Pour the buttermilk into a separate bowl.
  3. Dip each piece of chicken into the buttermilk and then coat it in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat up the oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 350°F.
  5. Fry the chicken pieces in the oil for about 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown and fully cooked.
  6. Drain the excess oil and serve hot.
